It’s Taki Moore here from Coach Marketing Machine. And today I want to tell you one secret that will help you get more clients faster than anything else you do; by the way, it’s not marketing. So from time to time I get brought in like a marketing swat team. Either to an individual coach or a team of coaches, whose marketing performance is lackluster; or they really want to kick up their game to another level fast. So it’s a half day or a full day, $5000 or $10,000.
The first thing that happens is this, we sit down and they say “Taki, before we get started I want to show you some of my collateral. You know, let me show you some of the pieces we’ve run in the past.” So they bring out these kinds of folders or print outs of all this stuff. “That’s great I really want to see it, but before we do, time out. Sure I want to see your collateral but first I want to see your calendar.” And they look really surprised because I can predict your cash flow based on looking at your calendar.
Here’s what I mean: If you show me the time you have spent marketing, over the last week, two weeks, three weeks, four weeks, consistently. I can predict whether you’ve got, whether marketing is a priority for you or not. And if it’s a priority then you’ll be taking the actions necessary to make it happen.
So here’s what I want to know: How much time each week, regularly, are you spending on your marketing? If you break down a week, seven days, every week has 14 half days; you know a morning slot and an afternoon slot, 14 and a half days. How many of those routinely, do you dedicate to growing your business? So you work with your clients every single week to work on their life and on their business, and going to take time out of the day today, how about you, though; are you doing the same for yourself?
The Coach Marketing Monday
I know in my business the moment I worked out there was 14 and half days, I just got to take one of those minimum and dedicate it to working on my stuff. Not on my content, because that’s in my job, working on my business. So I want you to do this: I want you to take a half day this week, and a half day next week, in fact, I want you to take a half day every week. Call it Coach Marketing Monday. In that session, you got half a day to work on your marketing, not just in your business. Cool?
So, half a day, once a week, Coach Marketing Monday.
Here’s Your Homework…
I know in my week, you know I teach on Fridays, I sell on Thursdays. That’s kind of my week. I want to know what you’re ideal week is.
So here’s your homework: Put aside a half day this week, next week, and the week after; half of a day in your default diary every week from now on to work on your business.
