Coach Anyone About Anything
So I reopened a book that I’ve read years and years ago. Great book on Coaching Skills but it’s called this, it’s called “Coach Anyone About Anything”.
Written by someone who’s last name is Porsche. Coach anyone about anything.
Quite a cool name.
And the truth is that the coaching tools you’ve got will let you coach anyone about anything. It gets them great results!
The Problem About Coaching Anyone About Anything
But here is the problem.
Just because you can coach anyone about anything doesn’t mean you should, right?
If you’ve got to the marketplace for the”Hey I can help anyone about anything.” You’ve got about as much credibility somebody says, “Hey I can mow lawns, I’ve got this hair re-growth tonic and I’m a NASA astrophysicist”
Like seriously, no one’s going to take you seriously!
“By the way, would you like to buy some of my 2-minute noodles?” No, of course not.
No one takes you seriously when you try to be everything to anybody.
So here is the thing.
Just could you can coach anyone about anything doesn’t mean you should.
Here’s what I want you to do.
How To Fix Your Coaching Niche Problem
Forget about the “anyone” and the “anything”. And I want you to pick somebody and something. Specifically, pick one person with one problem.
We’ve talked about this before, right?
But are you doing it?
Yeah, not so much.
So I want you to pick one person with one problem and make them one clear promise.
When you do that instead of them looking at your beige general bland message and going: “Well really, he’s not really talking to me or she’s not talking to me.” Then their ears are going to perk up, their eyes are going to get really big and say, “Hey, this person IS talking to me!!”
They’re talking about people just like me about the sort of problems I’ve got. I’ll pay attention and I’ll listen.
Coach Marketing Homework:
So the homework this week is this:
Stop being broad, pick up micro niche for the next 60 days, target it and get better results.
